We’re here to tell you that the future of the events industry in Canada is crazy bright. When we headed east last week to attend Canadian Special Events Live, one of the major highlights of our time in Toronto was our tour through the Inspired Spaces Tabletop Challenge at Seneca College. The exhibit, displayed in Seneca’s Innovation Gallery, was created by students from the Event Management – Event & Exhibit Design program, and let us tell you with all sincerity: these students KILLED IT. Our team was so inspired by the creativity and professionalism that each entrant showcased in their table design, and we walked away feeling creatively fired up and so excited about the next generation of event profs headed our way. This was our first year sponsoring this event, and we could not be more pleased and honoured to have been a part of it.
Huge congratulations to all of the students and to the competition winners, Sakina Li, Riley Wilson, and Han Vo. A big shout-out also needs to go to the students of Seneca’s Event and Media Production and Independent Music Production programs, who pulled off the music and technical support during the event, as well as caterers Presidential Gourmet. This was a perfect example of the collaboration and teamwork that goes into pulling off a successful event – the first of many for these emerging event profs, we’re sure.
Take a couple of minutes check out a gallery of photos featuring the students and their work on the Seneca College website – we’re confident you’ll be just as inspired as we were. Thank you one more time to Seneca College for allowing us to be part of this bright showing of talent and creativity – see you next year!
