Reaching the half-century milestone inaugurates you into an exclusive few in the business world. We were honoured to help Shaw Communications celebrate its incredible 50th anniversary, bringing together their friends and family to connect and celebrate Shaw’s legacy.
We fully embraced the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise’s traditional elegance throughout our design, leaning into the existing architecture to evoke the feeling of mingling at an exclusive club hidden deep within the castle.
The experience began the moment guests walked in on over 200 feet of luxurious black carpet flanked by shelves of champagne. Each guest would have a moment to commemorate the occasion at a fully customized photo op featuring an oversized ‘50’ before stepping into the foyer for a dramatic reveal.
We wove the hotel's old-world elements with masculine touches and distinguished textures. Blue accent furniture and oversized FaBLOOMosity florals pulled in hints of the Shaw brand, while photos of Shaw’s history were showcased in nooks on the walls. The result was a feeling that the glamorous hotel existed for this special evening alone.
The secret society immersion carried into dinner as each guest arrived to a mysterious origami-folded envelope printed by CLIK Laser Design. Unfolding the envelope revealed the event menu and a custom magnetic Shaw 50th pin excitedly affixed to many outfits around the room.
For a truly unexpected moment, the chef used 280 hanging glass terrariums to serve an amuse-bouche to pique guests' appetites as they settled in. Orange Frog Productions illuminated the tables from above, tying together the opulence of the room, from the larger-than-life walls of the hall lit up with a gold and blue pattern to the smallest custom details on each place setting. ProShow Audiovisual masterfully guided the entertainment through the evening, allowing Shaw's friends and family to soak in the moment and celebrate together.
Impact
With the accomplishment of their 50th anniversary and knowing that this would be the last time the Shaw brand, as we know it, would be celebrated, the weight and importance of this event’s purpose was palpable. We were able to usher guests into their own secret society for one night, leaving each person with a connection to Shaw and a memory to last a lifetime.
