Overview
This year, we helped Mawer Investment Management celebrate five decades of being boring. As investors, boring is best–and fifty years of yawns is admirable. To commemorate the milestone, we led with glamour and spotlighted their accomplishments.
As guests arrived at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre, they entered through an arched tunnel filled with memories, pointing to the significant moments that led to this milestone. Inside, LED display towers showcased the eras of Mawer’s journey, allowing guests to find themselves among hundreds of photos. Glowing tube lights and a sleek metallic silver runway guided them forward.
Emerging from the tunnel, guests were greeted by a wall of bells that, when rung, summoned a gloved hand offering a glass of champagne, offering a moment of surprise and setting the elegant tone for the evening.
Sophisticated decor, accented with sleek black, navy, and Mawer-branded blue hues, paid homage to the golden milestone. Gold and blue-toned florals were built into custom-branded vases to personalize the table settings and add softness to the space.
We are super-fans of celebrating when fantastic local companies make their mark on their industry. We were happy to do just that, commemorating the art of boring with the masters of their trade.
To end the night, a mirrored gold vinyl decal turned the dance floor into an opulent space to cap off the incredible night together.We worked with Encore Canada to bring the audiovisual expertise, and The Event Group for production, ensuring guests were transported into a completely immersive experience that highlighted Mawer’s important milestones.
Impact
We are super-fans of celebrating what can happen in our city, and are thrilled to help celebrate when fantastic local companies make their mark on their industry. We were happy to do just that, celebrating the art of boring with the masters of their trade.
We were able to whisk guests into a night of honouring the solid fifty-year foundation that will pave the way for Mawer Investment Management’s strong future.
