Overview

Jeff and Dawn first approached us two years prior to their planned wedding date. Over the course of a year, our team perfected an outdoor floral garden design concept, and produced a comprehensive wedding plan for an outdoor wedding at the stunning ranch venue. Multiple vendors had been booked and invitations were nearly sent out by the time our clients had to withdraw their reservation at the ranch. At first, our clients anticipated having to significantly postpone their wedding, but our planner and production team worked tirelessly to achieve a date within six months of the original. Originally designed as an outdoor garden wedding, the event was re-conceptualized as a European Floral Market after multiple challenges resulted in the venue change to a dark, windowless ballroom. Fresh lavender, roses, and peonies were arranged market-style in large steel buckets alongside potted shrubs and trees. A collection of cakes were carefully styled atop a soft grey canopied cart, and a whimsical bicycle was loaded with fragrant potted herbs. Guests were given burlap sacks to ‘shop’ the market florals, and the littlest guests were treated to an inclusive ‘Boxtroll’ themed party in a special children’s ‘lair’.

Impact

Our team adjusted to challenges, changes, and constraints while keeping the initial vision alive, for a  wedding that brought the outdoors inside in a stunning design that was on budget and only six months past the original wedding date. As the icing on the cake, the event won a Canadian Event Industry Award for Best Wedding Creative!
